The camera is suitable for a range of video surveillance applications including small businesses, office buildings, reception areas and more. Setup and installation are easy, and within minutes, you'll be able to view live streaming images remotely from any computer with Internet access.
The camera features a built-in Web server and a fully configurable MPEG4 compression engine that allows you to control bandwidth usage. Recorded video images are archived digitally and are easily searchable. Also built into the 4XEM W40 is a high-sensitivity microphone that allows you to listen in on the areas being monitored. Other highlights include intelligent motion detection, automated email alerts, pre and post alarm snapshots, and the ability to integrate the camera with external alarm systems.
Bundled software allows you to view images from any Web browser, and control up to 16 IP network cameras.
