With 5 megapixel performance, the Arecont Vision AV5100 IP camera is capable of delivering 15 times the resolution of the best analog cameras. Built for surveillance applications where clear images are vital, the AV5100 allows users to focus in on individuals, objects, and details such as license plate numbers. The camera provides full motion, progressive scan video with up to 2592x1944 resolution at a frame rate of 9 frames per second. Because of its wide field of view, the AV5100 megapixel camera is capable of monitoring broad areas that would typically require multiple security cameras. It also offers low-light sensitivity all the way down to 0.3 lux.
Along with delivering exception image quality, the AV5100 IP camera saves installation costs and adds flexibility by supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE). With PoE, there's no need for complicated wiring. Network communication, data transmissions, and power to the camera are delivered via a single Ethernet cable. This also allows the camera to be installed in locations without a readily available power outlet.
Another highlight of the Arecont Vision AV5100 is forensic zooming using picture-in-picture. Because the camera captures such high-quality, megapixel video, users can simultaneously zoom in on specific areas of a scene while still monitoring the full field of view.
