Boasting 8 megapixel resolution and high-speed 360-degree panning, the Arecont Vision AV8360 is a powerful IP camera capable of handling the most demanding video surveillance applications. The camera delivers full motion progressive scan video with 8 megapixel 1600x1200 resolution, far exceeding the capabilities of traditional analog cameras. In fact, with full 360-degree panning, the AV8360 is able to monitor wide areas that would typically require up to 24 conventional security cameras.
The AV8360 support Power over Ethernet (PoE), which adds flexibility while reducing installation costs. With PoE, data transmissions and power to the camera are delivered over a single Ethernet cable. This eliminates the need for complicated wiring, and allows the camera to be placed in locations where an electrical outlet might not be handy. It also allows for scalability, as new cameras can be added to the IP surveillance network at any time with a simple Ethernet connection.
The Arecont Vision AV8360 IP camera is able to capture high-quality video in low-light conditions all the way down to 0.2 lux. It also offers sophisticated motion detection with size and sensitivity controls for up to 64 motion detection zones for each of its four channels. For analysis of recorded footage, users are able to zoom in using picture-in-picture to simultaneously view detailed and full-frame images.
