The 223M features a 2.0 Megapixel CCD sensor and lens for capturing incredible image detail, making it an excellent choice for high-security areas such as airports and banks where facial recognition can play a critical role.
Megapixel Technology
Megapixel technology enables the 223M to capture image detail far superior to that of analog security cameras and non-megapixel network cameras. The camera uses a powerful 2.0 megapixel progressive scan sensor, advanced image processing, and a megapixel varifocal lens. Resolution is drastically higher, making it easier to identify specific people and objects within an image. Other advantages include expanded camera range, and powerful optical zoom.
Day/Night Functionality
The Axis 223M features automatic day/night functionality for clear video footage even in low light conditions. The camera captures color video in high and low light situations, while an infrared cut filter allows for IR sensitive black and white footage at night.
Two-Way Audio Support
Users can listen on areas or communicate directly with visitors and intruders thanks to the camera's two-way audio capabilities. It's also possible to program an alarm to sound when a certain noise level is detected. The 223M features a built-in microphone as well as an external microphone input and audio output.
Power over Ethernet
The 223M receives data and power over an Ethernet cable. This PoE support makes installation more efficient, simple, and less costly, with no need for extensive wiring. The camera can even operate during a power failure if connected to a central uninterruptible power supply.
