Axis 241Q Video Encoder
With four video channels and customizable camera and recording settings, the Axis 241Q provides a way for you to broadcast footage from your existing analog surveillance cameras on the Web, which means you won't have to buy new IP cameras to get the same benefits of a network-based surveillance system. The Axis 241Q video encoder allows you to simultaneously broadcast MPEG and MJPEG files, as well as name the frame rate and bandwidth settings in order to make the most of your network.
Powerful, customizable event management tools
A built-in motion sensor may be used to trigger an alarm, recording, or both, and a pre- and post-alarm recording buffer ensures that you'll always have images to draw from in the event of a security breach. If an alarm is triggered, images may be sent to a specified e-mail address or stored on an FTP or HTTP server. You can also control PTZ cameras with the Axis 241Q, which supports a variety of cameras from a multitude of prominent manufacturers. Great for use in small surveillance applications with three or four cameras, such as home surveillance, office security or retail surveillance, this video encoder lets you create a cutting-edge IP security system for less than the cost of several new high-quality IP cameras.
