Axis 247S Video Encoder
This ergonomic video server provides a compact, user-friendly solution for those woh'd like to use an existing analog camera like an IP camera. Not only will the Axis 247S allow you to watch live or recorded footage online, you'll be able to schedule or initiate recording online. And if finding a safe place to plug in your camera is an issue, the Axis 247S is power over Ethernet (it gets its electricity through the Ethernet cable), and can power the camera via Ethernet as well. Because of its small size and ease of placement, the Axis 247S is a good choice for bank surveillance, retail security and in other applications that require discretion or creative camera placement.
Audio capability you can use to trigger an alarm
The Axis 247S comes with one-way audio, which can assist you in determining a security threat. You may also use audio detection to trigger an alarm or event notice in addition to the included motion sensor, which you may also use to trigger external alarms. In the event that the motion sensor or alarm is triggered, this video server will store images from before and after the event over TCP and HTTP, or it can send the images to a specified e-mail address.
