Axis P5522 PTZ IP Camera
The Axis P5522 indoor PTZ Dome Network Camera combines advanced functions with an easy-to-install interface. The camera maintains high image quality even in low light conditions with the camera’s day/night functionality. With support for wide dynamic range and progressive scan, the P5522 produces crisp, sharp images with compensation for complex and backlit lighting. H.264 video compression optimizes both network bandwidth and storage.
The P5522 offers a total 216x zoom and no blind spots with 360° pan, auto flip and 100 preset positions. Other advanced PTZ functions include Guard Tours and Advanced Gatekeeper, which enables the camera to move to a preset position when motion is detected in a pre-determined area. The Axis P5522 also comes with advanced alarm event functionality including going to a PTZ preset position, running a guard tour, recording to local storage, and triggering the external output such as playing an audio clip.
This indoor camera model comes with hard and drop ceiling mount kits. The compact housing makes the Axis P5522 more discreet than many other PTZ dome cameras. With IP51-rated housing the camera is protected against dust and dripping water and can operate even when a sprinkler system is activated. Support for Power over Ethernet (PoE) reduces the cost of installation by requiring less cabling and time. The PTZ controls for the IP camera are handled over the network and do not require any additional cabling for PTZ control.
A MicroSDHC memory card slot is included for local storage. This improves security allowing the camera to continue recording even if the network connection is cut. Camera users also have the option to just record to a MicroSDHC card. Other features include two-way audio, audio detection, input/output ports for external devices, and AC/DC power. These features require an additional multi-connector cable.
