PTZ Camera | PTZ CamerasPTZ cameras, also known as PTZ IP cameras, are able to pan, tilt and zoom while recording video. You can find a PTZ camera for outdoor or indoor use, and we even have vandal-proof PTZ cameras from leading manufacturers.
A PTZ camera gives the users the ability to monitor large areas using pan/tilt/zoom functionality. Most PTZ cameras offer both manual and automatic PTZ operation along with optical zoom for zeroing in on specific individuals or objects. Some cameras are just pan/tilt, with no optical zoom. There are also specialty cameras that just zoom in on a fixed location. A PTZ camera can be controlled with a mouse for live viewing. There are also special PTZ joysticks and control boards available to control the functionality of a PTZ camera. If thePTZ camera will be constantly moving, such as on a continuous guard tour, or will be used for live monitoring by security personnel, we recommend looking at PTZ Speed Dome cameras.
Most indoor PTZ cameras are PoE. However, if the camera is going to be placed in a housing for outdoor use, the housing will usually need external power, though some high power PoE PTZ cameras are now available. Contact us for help setting up your PTZ camera.
