High power PoE midspans and switches deliver more than double the power of normal PoE midspans and switches. PoE enabled devices, such as IP cameras, receive power and transmit data over a single Ethernet cable with the help of a high power midspan or switch. High power is most often needed for cameras that require more power such as some PTZ cameras, PTZ Speed Dome cameras, and cameras with heaters and blowers.
High power PoE midspans and switches are 802.3at compliant and provide a maximum of 32.4 W per port.
