Power over Ethernet (PoE) Midspans are used to power PoE network cameras. Look here for our selection of PoE midspans from trusted brands.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) midspans, also called PoE injectors, are used for existing networks that need to power PoE cameras. The midspans provide power over Ethernet cables to network video products, such as IP cameras, that already have built-in PoE support.
Instead of installing additional power outlets or complicated cabling, users can run Ethernet cables from each port on the midspan to power and handle data transmissions from PoE devices. The PoE midspans are 802.3af compliant and provide a maximum of 15.4 W per port.
If you know you need a full 15.4 W across each port guaranteed, then a full power PoE midspan is the ideal solution. Full power is not needed for most installations as most cameras do not require that many watts.
