The Panasonic BB-HCM547A is a network dome camera designed for wide-area surveillance monitoring in outdoor locations. The camera features a weatherproof, splash-resistant body, making it well-suited for use in areas where there's moisture. And because the camera operates using Power over Ethernet (PoE), you can install it in places such as warehouse ceilings, or in garages, where it's difficult to provide power. With the Panasonic BB-HCM547A the power is provided via a single standard Ethernet cable. This same cable also delivers data from the camera.
With a 73-degree wide-angle lens, the Panasonic BB-HCM547A offers a large field-of-view for monitoring big open spaces. The camera can stream full VGA-resolution at up to 30 frames per second. Users can access the footage remotely using any PC with web access. In order to meet the varying needs of live viewing and recording, while optimizing bandwidth, the BB-HCM547A offers simultaneous MPEG-4 and JPEG compression. MPEG-4 is recommended for live viewing of smooth-motion video. JPEG compression is often used for storing high-quality recorded images.
