The Panasonic BB-HCM581A-W is a plug-and-play network camera offering wide-area monitoring capabilities with high-speed pan/tilt/zoom functionality. This user-friendly network camera is extremely easy to install, and is well-suited for monitoring homes, office buildings, stores, and countless other locations. The camera can be viewed remotely from any computer using a standard web browser. You can control camera function remotely, and can even monitor the camera from a compatible cell phone or PDA. All required software is already built into the camera.

With 42x zoom, the camera allows for detailed viewing of objects both close and far away. The Panasonic BB-HCM581A-W uses a CCD sensor for sharp, enhanced image expression, and streams high-quality video images at up to 30 frames per second. The camera operates using Power over Ethernet (PoE) so you can install it anywhere along the network. A standard Ethernet cable delivers power to the camera and handles data transmissions.

Using a standard web browser, users can control the movement of the camera for flexible monitoring. You can control 350-degree panning and 210-degree tilt movement, and assign a “Home Position” for the camera to return to as a default. You can also click on a specific part of the scene and automatically bring it to center. Plus, up to eight pre-determined shooting positions can be registered in advance.
