Vivotek VS8801 8-channel Video Encoder
The Vivotek VS8801 video server manages up to eight channels of high resolution video. It is capable of simultaneous dual streams with individually configurable frame rates, resolution and image quality. Supported compression rates include MPEG-4, MJPEG and H.264. H.264 leads the industry in conserving bandwidth and optimizing video quality.
Intelligent video functions empower analog video cameras to provide similar capabilities as IP cameras. For example, tamper detection automatically alerts users if a camera is blocked, redirected, spray painted, or in the case of a lens losing focus. Advanced motion detection distinguishes unusual movement from naturally-occurring objects in an environment.
Network security protocols HTTPS and 802.1x provide protection while Giga LAN quickly transmits large amounts of data. An integrated SD/SDHC card slot ensures recording even in the case of a power loss. Additional features include two-way audio, DC 12V/AC 24V compatible power input and rack mount compatibility.
